Team USA、TOKYO 2025 世界陸上競技選手権に向け東御市で事前合宿を実施
米国オリンピック・パラリンピック委員会（USOPC）は、米国陸上競技代表チーム「Team USA」が、2025年9月に開催されるTOKYO 2025 世界陸上競技選手権大会（9月13日〜21日）に向けた事前合宿を、長野県内で実施することを正式に発表しました。合宿期間は、9月3日（水）から大会終了翌日の9月21日（日）までを予定しています。
合宿地と参加予定者
合宿は以下の2拠点を中心に行われます。
● 湯の丸高原（東御市）
● 長野市内（低地トレーニング）
Team USAからは、選手・コーチ・医療スタッフなど、あわせて約50名が長野県に滞在予定です。800mからマラソンまでの種目に出場する男女選手が参加し、PARIS 2024 オリンピックの金・銀・銅メダリストも含まれています。

合宿の特長
高地と低地を組み合わせたハイブリッド・トレーニング
湯の丸高原では「高地での中強度トレーニング」、長野市では「低地での高強度トレーニング」を実施。これにより、持久力とスピードの両面から選手のパフォーマンス向上を図ります。
時差・気候への順応
長野県での合宿は、米国との15時間の時差調整や、東京で予想される高温多湿の環境への順化にも有効です。
地域との連携と今後の展望
Team USAと東御市は、選手が競技に集中できる「ミニ選手村」のような環境づくりを進めており、チームとしての一体感を高めるとともに、日米両国の文化・スポーツ交流のさらなる発展にもつなげていきたいと考えています。

Team USA to Hold TOKYO 2025 World Championships Training Camp in Tomi,Nagano Prefecture
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has officially announced that Team USA Track & Field will hold a training camp in Nagano Prefecture in early September in preparation for the TOKYO 2025 World Athletics Outdoor Championships. The training camp will be open to Team USA athletes and coaches on September 3 and close on September 21. The TOKYO 2025 World Athletics Championships begin on September 13 and conclude on September 21.
The Team USA training camp will take place at the following locations in Nagano Prefecture: Yunomaru Highlands,and Nagano City. Team USA will bring approximately 50 athletes, coaches, and medical support staff to Nagano Prefecture. The group will consist of female and male athletes from the 800 m event up to the marathon including gold, silver and bronze medalists from the PARIS 2024 Olympics.
Team USA highly values the excellent training facilities and venues within Nagano Prefecture and has great respect for the Olympic tradition of the 1998 NAGANO Winter Olympic Games. Said Team USA team leader Randy Wilber, “It is a great honor and privilege for Team USA to train in Nagano Prefecture in the final preparation for TOKYO 2025. We are looking forward to collaborating with Mayor Toshio Hanaoka and our hosts from Tomi City for a very successful training camp and excellent performances in the 2025 World Athletics Outdoor Championships. Team USA is also very grateful for the outstanding support of Nagano Prefecture Governor Shuichi Abe and Nagano City Mayor Kenji Ogiwara.”
Team USA will take advantage of the very special geography and topography of Nagano Prefecture by “living high and training high moderate-intensity” in the Yunomaru Highlands while simultaneously “training low high-intensity” in Nagano City. Living and training in Nagano Prefecture will also allow Team USA athletes to adjust to the 15-hour time zone difference and also help them to acclimatize effectively to the expected hot and humid environmental conditions of Tokyo.
Team USA and Tomi City are committed to providing an environment that fosters unity, similar to an Olympic Village, where athletes can focus entirely on their performance. They also hope that this opportunity will further strengthen the cultural and sporting exchange between Japan and the United States.
